The second Annual National Cumann na mBunscol Table Quiz took place on Sunday March 22nd in Tullamore. 39 teams from all over the island of Ireland travelled to Tullamore for the quiz.
The quiz started at 3pm and many thanks to MJ for doing such a good job reading questions and keeping the children (and adults) entertained.
There were many changes on the leaderboard but the eventual winners were Bridgetown NS, Co Clare. There was huge excitement at the Clare table and the boys were almost dumb struck at their success.
Second place went to last year's winners - Niall Mór NS, Co Donegal. The boys were disappointed but were generous in congratulating the Clare school. What a great achievement to be in the top two two years in a row.
We had two teams tied for third place - Gaelsoil na Ríthe, Co na Mí agus Scoil Shincill, Killeigh, Co Offaly.
Well done to all the teams! Such knowledge in the hall. All schools should be very proud of their pupils who worked together so well as a team and were so well behaved.
A special thanks to Declan Ward for all the work he did preparing for the quiz! A fantastic event and very well organised.
