All Ireland Cumann na mBunscol Table Quiz

Our 2nd Annual Table Quiz will take place in tullamore on the 22nd March. Many thanks to our Development Officer, Declan Ward, for all his work preparing for this big event.

Here are some reminders before the big day! 

1. Time and Venue Information

  • Time: Doors open for the audience & teams at 2 p.m. 

  • All teams should be seated at their tables by 2.30 p.m. and the quiz will start promptly at 3 p.m.

  • From 2pm onwards ,a  photographer will take a photograph of each team before the quiz begins.

  • Date: Sunday 22nd March 2026.

  • Location: D. E. Williams Suite / DEW Suite, Tullamore Court Hotel, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

  • There is ample free car parking at the Hotel.

  • At the All Ireland Final, teams are invited to wear their school uniform, school jersey or county jersey.

  • The quiz will finish at 5 p.m. approx.

2. Audience Tickets   On the day of the All Ireland Quiz Final , we will have an audience seating capacity of 320 people.  To be fair to each team, it has been decided to allocate eight seated audience tickets to each team. 
  • Other supporters who do not have a ticket are welcome to stand at the back of the hall or avail of seats that are in the foyer at the side of the hall.
  • After 3 p.m. any seats that are left over can be used by other people who do not have a seated ticket for the audience.
  •  At last year's quiz most people who attended had some sort of seat by the time the quiz started.
  • If there is any parent or person who is using a wheelchair and is attending the quiz either in the audience or as a participant, please email us to let us know in advance by emailing me at developmentcnmb@gmail.com
Audience tickets with a specific seat and row for each team will be posted or emailed out to schools the week before the quiz.

Quiz Practice Questions   The quiz questions that were asked at last year's national quiz can be found on the National Cumann na mBunscol website at the link below. https://www.cnmbnaisiunta.com/news/prepare-for-the-quiz-/   There are also some other questions on the Offaly Cumann na mBunscol website at the link below from the Offaly Cumann na mBunscol Quiz and National Quiz. https://www.offalycumannnambunscol.ie/page/quiz.html   The format of the quiz is the same as last year. Eight rounds of ten questions including one picture round. The questions asked throughout the quiz are Sports or Sport related questions and 50% of the questions asked at the quiz will be on the subject of Gaelic Games. If you look at the questions from last year you will see the format.

4. Prizes  There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd,3rd placed teams.
