The games were played in a glorious sporting manner in the Croke's Pitches on a round robin basis, ensuring that all 27 boys teams and all 27 girls teams played a minimum of three matches each. The district, as usual, enjoyed full participation, and a huge word of thanks goes out to all teachers and schools for taking part on the days. The boys final was a hard fought close contest with one point separating the Monastery national School, Killarney from Holy Family National School, Rathmore, with the Mon Boys finally achieving success over the historically successful Rathmore boys.

Moving onto the girls again one point separated the two teams in the final, with Fossa national School triumphant over a gallant Knockaderry national School.
