INTO GAA Respect Games in full swing   13/08/2019

The INTO GAA Respect Exhibition Games, affectionately known to generations of teachers as the Mini Sevens, are in full swing. Next Sunday 40 boys and girls and 2 Young Whistlers will share centre stage when they take the field on All -Ireland Hurling Final Day. Gerry O Meara, Principal of Scoil Treasa in Firhouse is the man who organises everything to do with these games, ably assisted by his team of team managers and his goalpost teams who give of their time so generously during the summer. The INTO GAA Respect games put Cumann na mBunscol in the shop window as children from each of the 32 counties display their skills in Croke Park.

Cumann na mBunscol is grateful to Michelle Harte of the Ticket Office in Croke Park for her assistance throughout the season. Gearóid Ó Maoilmhichíl, Child Protection Section in Croke Park, is also of huge help on these occasions.

The Irish National Teachers Organisation has sponsored the games since their introduction in 1987.
