St Bride's PS are Boys' 7's Football Champions in Antrim   07/06/2018

St. Bride's boys' Gaelic footballers travelled to Creggan GAC as Raffo Cup winners to compete in the Antrim Allianz Cumann na mBunscol All County 7s finals.

The first game saw St. Bride's face Mount St. Michael's of Randalstown. The Malone Gaels played some superb, fast flowing football in an entertaining game. Ronan Donnelly and Dara Quinn combined very well in attack for some tremendous scores. A solid defensive display, coupled with the sharp shooting forwards saw St. Bride's run out comfortable winners.

With Creggan Primary school also winning their opening game, the second game for St. Bride's was the tournament decider.

A talented Creggan team proved stiff opposition. However, St. Bride's had a blistering start to the game, opening up  a 10point lead by half time.

Matthew Lloyd swept everything up in the backline while his teammates mirrored his determination. To their credit, Creggan Primary had a super start to the second half, netting twice to close the deficit.

Further goals from the lethal Archie Brennan and Dara Quinn put the game to bed for the Malone men. St. Bride's ran out deserved winners and took the All County 7s title back to South Belfast.
